Stamford: Uber announced it has more than 500 restaurants in Connecticut participating in its Uber for EATS delivery service. UberEats was first launched in Connecticut in August and includes Hartford, New Haven, and Stamford, the company’s announcement says “it’s also covering more in-between areas, like Uber’s newest expansion, Danbury.”
Uber reported that “average delivery time (from order to doorstep) is between 35-40 minutes.
UberEats released a list of restaurants that were most active in Connecticut, based on “order volume, meal ratings, customer compliments and more” [in random order], Garden Catering, Cody’s Diner, Tomatillo Taco Joint, Basil Restaurant, Junzi Kitchen, Frankie’s Diner, Andros Diner, Westchester Burger Company, The Juice Box, The Halal Guys, B.Good, Meat & Co., Elm City Social, Layla’s Falafel.
“[UberEATS] shouldn’t be considered a nice add on for restaurants. It’s become a core requirement for catering to young urban eaters, ” explained Reed Immer, Marketing Director of Junzi Kitchen in New Haven
